  • Posted on 18 April 2026

The sacred premises of Ashtalakshmi Devalayam came alive with devotion and spiritual fervor as the 30th Brahmotsavams commenced on an auspicious note. The first day of the grand celebrations began in the early hours with the Abhishekam to the Utsava Murtis, marking a divine start to this spiritually significant festival.

Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the holy ritual, where the Utsava Murtis were ceremoniously bathed with sacred substances such as milk, turmeric, sandalwood paste, and holy water amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns. The Abhishekam symbolizes purification, divine energizing, and the invocation of blessings from the Goddess in her eight forms—bestowing prosperity, courage, knowledge, and well-being upon all devotees.

The atmosphere was filled with devotion as priests performed the rituals with utmost precision, while the rhythmic chanting and temple bells created a deeply spiritual ambiance. The beautifully adorned deities radiated divine grace, offering a serene and uplifting darshan to everyone present.

Following the Abhishekam, the highlight of the morning was the grand arrival of Swamiji, which added further sanctity and significance to the occasion. Swamiji was received with traditional honors, including Poorna Kumbha Swagatham, Vedic chants, and a devotional welcome by temple authorities and devotees. His presence brought an added spiritual energy, inspiring devotees and guiding them towards a path of devotion and righteousness.

The first day celebrations set a magnificent tone for the upcoming days of Brahmotsavams, which will feature various vahana sevas, cultural programs, and special rituals. Devotees are encouraged to participate wholeheartedly in the festivities and seek the divine blessings of Goddess Lakshmi in all her glorious forms.
